It’s an interesting area, known for its agriculture, culinary experiences and multicultural tourism. A strong favorite when it comes to attractions drawing local Israeli and international visitors is the area’s flourishing wine culture.This website was established to be your first port of call on tourism content and the Galilean wine culture. Here you`ll find information on events, activities, and various initiatives to reinforce and promote the Galilee’s wines, and brand the Galilee as Israel’s leading winemaking center and a region garnering frequent international accolades. The WineWays FestivalWe’re celebrating! WineWays Festival is marking a decade of activities!The Galilee Development Authority together with its numerous partners, among them the Ministry of Tourism, local councils, large scale and boutique wineries, Galilee Tourism, the Israel Wine Board, numerous tourism associations, and various organizations and businesses in the private and commercial sectors of the Galilee, the Golan and the Valleys, have joined forces to continue developing the flourishing wine tourism throughout the entire Galilee region (Upper Galilee, Lower Galilee, Golan, Western Galilee, Valleys region). The festival aims to promote the field of tourism and culture in the Galilee in general, with particular focus on the wine industry and its contribution to the Galilee’s economy. The Galilee is the leading region for vineyards and wine making in Israel. The WineWays festival will be held over a 3 week period in May 20 each year. You’re invited to join in, whether you`re a wine aficionado, a professional, tourists, or families wanting to enjoy the diversity of events and activities happening all across the Galilee. Join winery tours, wine exhibitions, wine parties, guided tours inside the wineries, the farmers’ displays, nature treks, performances and workshops. Some events can proudly claim several years of activity, such as the Rosh Pina Wine Exhibition, the festival put on by the four Moshav Ramot Naftali wineries, the professional Wine Conference, and the Golan Wine Party. Every day of the WineWays festival is a great opportunity for families, wine lovers and people just wanting to enjoy the fresh air to come to the Galilee as spring gives way to summer, take some nature walks or visit Galilee sites, experience the many attractions we have to offer, and get wowed by the unique culinary offerings. Meet the winemakers, get an up-close view of Galilean agriculture, and talk to the great people who live and breathe Israeli wine making day and night, producing some of the best there is locally and internationally.
